Diversity in our lives makes it common for people of different faiths to fall in love. The bright future they will share often starts with celebrating the people they are individually through an interfaith wedding in Toronto and surrounding GTA. Blending the beauty of tradition with modern creativity is one of the things I do best.
I would be delighted to work with you to bring any combination of Jewish and other faiths together to make this important date memorable to you and all of your family and friends in attendance. I look forward to helping you create a meaningful and inspirational ceremony specific to your particular requirements: the perfect way to begin your life together.
To be married in Ontario you must be 18 years of age. You require a marriage license and must have two witnesses over the age of 14 to witness your marriage.
A valid Marriage License must be provided by each couple on the day of their ceremony. A Marriage License is available, usually without an appointment, at any local Municipal Office. A Marriage license can be purchased at any local municipal office or City Hall in Ontario. The license is good for 90 days. To get a license one needs to obtain an application. The application can be picked up ahead of time and outlines the required identification and legal documentation to obtain the license. Generally you can pick up the application and license the same day. The Province of Ontario does not have a residency requirement.
*Note: there are special considerations if one of you has been divorced outside Canada.
Usually about 8-12 weeks after the ceremony, a couple can apply for a Marriage Certificate as one will not automatically be sent to you by the Province.
You can book an official/minister as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date. If you are planning a summer wedding its recommended that you book a wedding officiant six months prior as the summer wedding season is the busiest time of the year. Off season weddings in November through April do not require booking so far in advance.
If you are planning basic wedding it can be on short notice depending on the officiant's availability. Once you have your marriage license you can get married immediately. Remember the license is only good for 90 days of being issued.
To book your wedding date with me just telephone or send an email.
Your deposit will reserve that date and time for you. Receipts will be issued and all details will be confirmed in writing.
I will travel anywhere in the GTA and up to 100km from a Ajax,Ontario. Locations significantly outside of the 100km radius we can discuss travel expense.
A wedding rehearsal is an option available for you. It is not a requirement. There is an additional fee for the rehearsal dependent upon location of the wedding ceremony. We will discuss the entire ceremony throughout the weeks prior to your wedding day. The choice of having a rehearsal is completely up to you and your comfort level.
I am always happy to accommodate your preferences regarding what to wear as the officiant of your ceremony. Options range from a tuxedo, black dress suit or formal clergy attire.
I will arrive within one half hour prior to the start time of your ceremony.
You must sign the marriage documents with the same name which appears on your marriage license because that is the document which is submitted to the Province of Ontario to register your marriage.
